Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados
¼ cup cacao powder
¼  cup raw, unpasteurized honey (adjust to taste)
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼  cup almond milk
 A pinch of salt


Optional toppings: sliced almonds, shredded coconut, pumpkin seeds

Method:

  1. Start by preparing Avocados. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado flesh, cacao powder, raw honey, vanilla extract, almond milk, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, you can add a little more almond milk.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl or individual serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set.
  5. Once chilled and set, you can serve the chocolate mousse as is, or top it with your choice of fruits, sliced almonds, shredded coconut, or pumpkin seeds.
