Heal your Gut with Simple Spice Mix Cubes

This recipe for spice mix cubes is a convenient and innovative way to incorporate these potent ingredients into your daily routine. Servings: 24 ice cubes   
Preparation Time: 15 minutes   

Total Time: 4 to 5 hours (including freezing time)

Ingredients:

½  tbsp organic turmeric powder
A pinch of black pepper powder
2 Sri Lankan rolled cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp fennel seeds
10 cardamom pods
2 tsp fenugreek seeds powder 
2 tsp dry ginger powder
2 tsp ajwain seeds
1.5 litres of water

Method:

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add all the spices to the boiling water.
  3. Lower the flame and let it simmer on low flame and cook until the liquid reduces to approximately 1 litre.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the spiced milk cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, carefully pour the spiced milk into an ice cube tray, filling each compartment evenly.
  6. Pour the spiced liquid mixture into an ice cube tray and allow it to freeze.

Masala Milk Preparation:

  1. In a cup of A2 milk, add the spice mix ice cubes.
  2. Allow the ice cubes to melt in the milk, infusing it with aromatic spices.
  3. Stir the masala milk well to ensure all the flavors are evenly distributed.
  4. Your masala milk is now ready to be enjoyed!

Notes:

  • The combination of spices, including cardamom, fennel seeds, and ajwain, not only enhances the flavor of the milk but also contributes to better gut health.
  • If you have thyroid issues, it is advisable to avoid adding fenugreek seeds powder to the spice mix.
