Delicious rice pulav brings back memories of the amazing and fulfilling meals our elders lovingly prepared. This rice pulav recipe is made with Sona Masuri rice and infused with the goodness of You Balance Spice Elixir, that not only adds taste but also helps your body reduce inflammation and is good for your heart.

The addition of A2 ghee enhances both flavor and digestive health, making it your best recipe ever. Try now and re-experience the warmth of your elders.

Serves: 2

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Total time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  - 1 cup hand pounded Sona masoori rice, washed

  - 1/2 or 1 tsp You Balance Spice Elixir (or adjust to taste)

  - 12 tsp A2 ghee or cold pressed coconut oil

  - 1 onion, sliced

  - 2 cups water or vegetable broth

  - 1/2 cup mix vegetables (peas, broccoli, carrots, beans, cauliflower)

  - Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat ghee or oil in a deep pan, add onions and sauté until golden.
  2. Add rice, You balance powder, and stir for a minute.
  3. Add water or broth, vegetables, and salt.
  4. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer until rice is cooked.
  5. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.

YCL Tip

Sona Masoori rice is a lighter, easily digestible variety, making it perfect for a wholesome pulav. It's also lower in starch compared to other rice types, which helps maintain balanced energy levels without feeling too heavy.

Once you add the You Balance spice blend, no need to add any other spice mix.

Notes

  • Feel free to add more vegetables like carrots, bell peppers, or spinach to increase the nutrient density and add colour to the dish.
  • Serve with a side of yogurt or a cucumber salad to balance the dish with probiotics and a refreshing contrast to the warm pullav.
